Congratulations Tesco Technology
Posted onInvesting in cyber talent with the CyberEPQ
We would like to give a big shout out to Tesco Technology and Alisha Chambers for supporting young women into cyber.
Katie is currently studying computer science, maths, business and psychology at A-levels. She first found her passion for cyber security in February 2020 during her week’s work experience in Tesco Technology.
She was introduced to cyber security and the CyberFirst programme with the amazing Alisha Chambers who enlightened her to the wonderful world of cyber. Straight away she knew that this was how she wanted to help people and businesses by staying safe online and protecting their data.
Katie says that Tesco has been absolutely incredible in helping support her; Tesco are actively part of women in technology and investing in young people, for example through their graduate scheme and having sponsored Katie so that she can take part in the CyberEPQ.
Katie says, "I wouldn’t have had this opportunity without this sponsorship!"
Katie hopes to continue learning and increasing her knowledge and skills with the intention of becoming part of the Tesco community.
Well done Katie, great to see you make the most of this opportunity and taking advantage of the benefits of our CyberEPQ Alumni Group.
